Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Sundar Singh (“I”, “me”), the developer of Daily Block. By downloading or playing, you accept them. If you do not, please delete the app.

1. Your licence

You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Daily Block on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not sell, rent, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, or attempt to extract its source or assets, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.

2. Your account

The app creates an anonymous account for you automatically so your progress can be saved. You may optionally link it to Apple or Google sign-in to carry progress to another device. You are responsible for the activity on your account. I may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.

3. Fair play

The daily puzzle is one attempt per day, the same board for everyone. That fairness is the product, so scores are verified: the server replays your moves and computes the score itself. A result that does not reconcile is excluded from the leaderboard.

You agree not to:

• modify the app, its traffic or its stored data to alter a score or a streak;
• automate play, or use an emulator or script to submit results;
• change your device clock to gain an extra attempt;
• use another person’s account, or operate accounts in bulk;
• choose a display name that is offensive, impersonates someone, or infringes a trademark.

Breaking these may cost you your leaderboard placement, your streak or your account. Purchases are not refunded in that case.

4. Purchases and subscriptions

Daily Block is free. It offers optional purchases, all of them billed by Apple through your Apple ID — I never handle your payment details.

• Remove Ads — a one-off purchase that permanently removes advertising.
• Block Club — an auto-renewing subscription, offered monthly or yearly, which includes no ads, a free revive in Endless, permanent streak freeze, stats history, an extra board theme and leaderboard flair.
• Streak Freeze ×3 — a one-off, consumable pack of three freezes.

Subscription terms

The price and billing period are shown in the app before you confirm, in your local currency. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before that point. Manage or cancel it in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions — uninstalling the app does not cancel it. Where a free trial is offered, any unused part of it is forfeited if you buy a subscription during the trial.

Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policy; I cannot issue them. If a purchase does not unlock, use Restore purchases in the app’s Settings first, then email me.

5. Streaks, freezes and other in-game items

Streaks, freezes, scores and badges exist only inside the game. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred between accounts. A streak freeze is consumed automatically to cover a missed day. Losing a streak because you did not play is how the game is meant to work, and is not grounds for a refund.

6. Advertising

Unless you hold Remove Ads or an active Block Club subscription, Endless mode shows ads. Ads are never shown inside the daily puzzle, never before your third game, and rewarded ads are only ever played when you choose to start one. See the Privacy Policy for what advertising involves.

7. Availability and changes

I may update, change or discontinue features, and I will try to keep the daily puzzle running every day — but this is a game run by one person on third-party infrastructure, and I cannot promise uninterrupted service. Endless mode and today’s daily are playable offline; leaderboards and score submission need a connection. If the service is retired, I will give notice in the app where I reasonably can.

8. Ownership

Daily Block, its name, artwork, sounds and code are owned by me and protected by copyright. This licence gives you no rights to them beyond playing the game. Screenshots and shared results are yours to post freely.

9. Disclaimer and liability

The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. To that same extent, I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or a lost streak. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you are a consumer you keep all your statutory rights. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid through the app in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Ending the agreement

You can end it at any time by deleting the app; to erase your data as well, follow the deletion route in the Privacy Policy. I may end it if you materially break these terms.

11. Apple

This agreement is between you and me, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support for it. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; beyond that Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, regulatory or intellectual-property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these termsand may enforce them against you.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there.

13. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date at the top changes too, and material changes will be flagged in the app. Continuing to play after that means you accept the new version.
